Travelling by car
The M4 motorway runs directly to Swansea, leaving at junction 42 the A483 takes you into the heart of the city. From London to Swansea is a 3hrs 30 minutes journey and well worth it when you get here. The road into the city runs parallel to the coast and the views are magnificent.Travelling by Rail
Fast and frequent First Great Western services link London Paddington with Swansea, the journey is inspirational through the changing countryside and takes just 3 hours. Wales and West provide direct services from Manchester, Birmingham, Portsmouth Harbour and London Waterloo. In addition Virgin Trains run a daily service between the North East of England and Scotland to Swansea via Birmingham. Travelling by Air
Swansea has its own airport, which operates scheduled flights to Dublin, Cork and Jersey (Summer season) and from 28 April 2003 will be operating flights from London City Airport to Swansea from £19 single plus taxes and airport charges. It is also suitable for small aircraft.
