Saturday 28th April Gorseinon Food Festival

Saturday 28 April 2012, 10:00am - 5:00pm The festival will have over 100 food and craft stalls including local True Taste of Wales award winners, and UK Great Taste Awards. Local producers, trade stands, local craft, charity stands, community groups, entertainment , cooking demonstrations. A giant jubilee cake, created by Neath Port Talbot College bakery students, will be sold in aid of local charity at the third Gorseinon Food Festival, Canolfan Gorseinon Centre. The cake will be cut at midday by Simon Wright, the festival's patron, Swansea Sound presenter, Kev Johns and Bill Sweetman, the festival chairman. Simon, who is a food writer, broadcaster and presenter of BBC Radio's Wales on the Menu, will also demonstrate how to cook some of his favourite Welsh dishes with his wife, Maryann, during one of the show's cookery sessions.
