WELSH FESTIVAL OF THE HORSE
(Published on:01 March 2010)
September 2010 will see the return, by popular demand, of the Welsh Festival of the Horse. A two day ‘gala’ festival of equestrian excellence and canine fun. This family orientated, non-competitive event aims to celebrate all aspects of the horse and will offer an opportunity for Wales to showcase the wide variety of its equestrian and canine activities and skills to a broader audience.. Margan Park near Port Talbot in South Wales will host the two-day event. The 1000 acre deer park has an impressive Tudor-Gothic style Victorian Mansion House, 18th century Orangery and monastic ruins. The Festival of the Horse promises something for everyone to enjoy. There will be amazing stunt riders and local groups and clubs showing off their myriad of skills. There will be opportunities for you and your dog to ‘have a go’ at different activities and for those who like to shop there will be plenty of stalls to take a look at as well as a local produce food village with cooking demos and tastings. You can find further information and contact details at www.welshfoh.co.uk Information on all the participants and activities will be included in a booklet and publicity initiatives, which will be widely distributed later this year, Contact Adrienne Howes: 01269 822515 Debbie Jenkins; 07966 032178 - sponsorship/marketing Meryl Hunt ; 07980 408333 – stalls/trade stands Penny Hard; 01269 861001- demonstrations/taking part |
