Dan Yr Ogof, 'The National Showcaves Centre For Wales' are offering the above 'free of charge' to anyone who might like the idea of having a massive plant eating dinosaur model  browsing  in their garden? Or maybe, the ultimate surprise gift for a dinosaur mad youngster, or even to act as a mascot for a rugby club?

Mr Price, Chairman of the National Showcaves Centre explained,

'We now have one of the largest collections of Dinosaurs in the world, however, they do take up a tremendous amount of room on the site. Recently we were offered a new flesh eating dinosaur model based on an amazing looking dinosaur discovered in Africa. Having seen a mock up of the model we realised straight away that it would be a hit with the children as it looks ferocious, and very unusual!

The only problem was where could we put it?  A decision was made that as we already  had a very large collection of long necked plant eating dinosaurs we needed to part with one of them urgently so that we could make room for the proposed new model called 'Spinosaurus'. This dinosaur was a huge flesh eating monster that used to live in the tropical swamps of Africa, about 135 to 65 million years ago. These dinosaurs had massive sail like structures on their backs, and must have looked absolutely amazing as they wandered around looking for food.

We will be sad to see our Brontosaurus go as it was one of our original models in our collection, however, if anyone in Wales can offer 'Bronto' a new home I hope they will contact us. It is a bit too big to post, so they will have to sort out how they get it home!”
