Hundreds of picnic-goers cast their votes to help the Gnoll fight off stiff competition from other sites in Wales. The park will now go on to battle it out against nine other favourite picnic locations around the UK to win the national title in Warburtons' annual awards. Gnoll Country Park is an 18th Century landscaped estate which retains many of its original features, including cascades, and the ruins of Gnoll House. Features include four large ponds, woodland footpaths, open fields, two children's playgrounds and a cafe. Gnoll Country Park receives a £500 cash bursary from Warburtons for winning the regional heat and could receive a further £500 if it goes on to win the coveted title of Warburtons Best Picnic Site 2010.
