At Gower Coast Adventures we are passionate about our local marine life and the beautiful Gower coastline and we love sharing this passion with our passengers. For nearly 23 years we have been providing interactive wildlife spotting tours of the south Gower coast, aiming to leave our passengers with unforgettable memories.

Guided by professional qualified crew with excellent local knowledge, you will encounter stunning scenery, a wealth of marine wildlife, fascinating local history (from prehistoric bone caves to tales of smugglers) and a unique thrill as we skim across the open water.

With over 2 decades of experience navigating these waters, we know every cave, cove and bay, along with their intriguing stories.
We know where the seals will be snoozing, the porpoises feeding, and the sea birds nesting.

Our passion for our local marine species and habitats brings with it a detailed knowledge of Gower's wildlife from where to look for dolphins, to which cliffs to scan for perching peregrines, and also a deep desire to protect it.

 

 

Oxwich to Worms Head, Round Trip 

2hrs approximately

Experience fantastic wildlife and incredible views of the beautiful south Gower coast on this 2 hour boat tour from Oxwich Bay beach to the tidal island of Worms Head at the western tip of the Gower peninsula.

Along the way we hug the coastline taking in Gower’s stunning scenery from a unique perspective.   Listen to stories about historic caves and smugglers haunts.   Keep an eye out for the regularly seen harbour porpoise and playful common dolphins amongst diving gannets.

At Worms Head delight in the sights and sounds of hundreds of seabirds during nesting season, seals basking on the rocks or dozing in the water and the chance to experience the spectacular blowhole at high tide.

Oxwich Bay

Oxwich bay is a beautiful and sheltered sandy beach, it’s a great place to spend the day. There is a large car park charging £5 per day upon entry.

Facilities include bird watching hides, nature walks, Oxwich Watersports, toilets, cafés, restaurants, Oxwich Bay Hotel and Oxwich castle.

 

How to find us?

Our trip departure point and booking office is at Oxwich Bay, a large beach roughly half way along the south coast of the Gower peninsula, Swansea.

Directions: The post code for Oxwich Bay beach car park is SA3 1LS. There is a large carpark at Oxwich owned and run by Penrice estates. There is a parking charge of about £6 for cars and £15 for medium / large vans and motorhomes to park all day. Once you have parked head towards the beach and then round to the right. Our small white and yellow booking office and trip meeting point is situated here at the top of the beach next to Oxwich Watersports.

What to expect when you arrive

Sign in at our booking office at least 30 mins before your departure time. Our staff will use this time to kit up passengers with waterproofs and lifejackets.

Please ensure that warm clothing is worn underneath waterproofs and bring footwear that can get wet (beach shoes, crocs, sandles etc).

Passengers will be lead to the waters edge by a member of crew where they will walk into the sea to knee depth and then step up to board the boat. Please note, at low tide it is a longer walk, the step up to the boat is knee height and crew are there to assist passengers.
