Rose Fisher
Teaching yoga classes around Swansea and Gower; from therapeutic to dynamic vinyasa. I have a compassionate approach to teaching, enabling beginners and advanced students to enjoy the practice to their own ability - classes are accessible, yet challenging for all. I am passionate about sharing the authentic practice of yoga and respecting its roots, whilst offering a modern take on traditional postures. I teach a sustainable, smart physical yoga practice, whilst placing huge importance on the taking lessons learned in class beyond the mat, into every day life.

My name is Rose, I am the owner and instructor of Breath of Life Yoga. My yoga journey began when I was travelling in Thailand. At a hostel in Chiang Mai, I met two recently qualified yoga instructors who gave a few of us travellers a yoga session on the balcony of our hostel...and I've been hooked ever since! I went on to train in 200YTT with Jamie Yoga in Ashtanga Vinyasa in 2016, which instilled me with a sharp eye for safe alignment, and a deep knowledge of how to modify poses to suit different body types and abilities, along with a thirst to enrich my theoretical understanding of yoga, beyond the asanas. In 2018 I took my training further, by completing 300YTT in Rishikesh; known as the birthplace of yoga, in India. This course offered me a richer understanding of the roots of yoga and Yoga Therapy, and gave me greater confidence in my modern spin on teaching asana (the physical practice of yoga). After qualifying, I began teaching beach yoga on Rhossili Bay, and was soon offered to teach at Hotpod in Swansea. I started my own class around the same time, and naturally developed my own style of teaching in these early days, which continues to grow today. I slowly built up my classes over the following months. I also trained in Children's & Teens Yoga at the Yoga Satsanga Ashram in Pembrokeshire in summer of 2016, which has had a huge influence in refining my teaching style; with the traditional, authentic approach that they taught. I continue to regularly attend classes and workshops, to continue my own personal and professional development. I have worked with various companies, offering group bookings for surf and yoga days (Letzshare, Big Blue Adventures), teach corporate yoga (Coastal Housing, Vizolution) and I currently teach at various studios and village halls. A big passion of mine is taking yoga beyond the mat; this is one of the reasons why I offer retreat days, through my Salt & Light Retreat business. These days offer time to nurture and nourish yourself both physically (through yoga, a beach walk and delicious vegan food) and mentally (through meditation, mindfulness, art healing, journalling). Each day is uniquely designed to suit different needs, which usually correlates with the effect of the season.
