Slade Barn

Slade Barn is an award winning barn conversion (Gower Society Design Award 2010, LABC Cymru Building Excellence Award - Highly Commended for Home Conversions 2011) which nestles in a curve of hillside at the head of a valley connecting Slade hamlet and beach.

The barn is in a secluded area of South Gower and is surrounded by farmland, footpaths and twisting lanes. Only a stone's throw from the beach and located between the villages of Oxwich, Penrice, Horton and Port Eynon, it is an ideal base from which to explore the Gower Peninsula's many attractions.

This 300 year old self-contained, newly converted and lime-washed barn retains its charm and character by featuring local materials and solid oak fittings. It also contains contemporary slate, marble and granite surfaces, solar panels, under floor and ground source heating, as well as a TV and wood burning stove. The combination of old and new work perfectly and you will soon feel at home.

There are three en-suite bedrooms (two double and one second floor twin), one of the double rooms is designed to accommodate the less able. The whole building is easily accessible and there is a large, high roofed open plan living/dining area with Corbusier style furniture and a hand built kitchen.

Outside, the south facing garden allows views from the sitting area of Lundy Island and Devon and ample car parking space for 3 cars plus the driveway which provides some extra space.
